BC acquired 7 solar power plants
On 1st March 2021, BAFS Clean Energy Corporation Co., Ltd. (BC) successfully acquired 7 solar power plants in Thailand, from Padaeng Industry Plc (PDI). This transaction is in line with BAFS Group’s growth strategy – diversifying business into renewable energy business and strengthening financial stability.
These 7 solar power plants have been operated by 3 subsidiaries:
– ATC Enviro Co., Ltd. (ATCE) has operated 5 solar power plants, total capacity of 29MW, in Prachin Buri and Samut Sakhon provinces, with state-run Provincial Electricity Authority over a period of 25 years, with a remaining period of 20 years.
– Mae Solar Co., Ltd. (MRS) and P.P. Solar (Nong-No) Co., Ltd. (PPS) has operated solar power plants, total capacity of 6.3MW and 1.1MW, in Tak and Khon Kaen province, respectively. Regarding the power purchase agreement (PPA), automatically renewed every five years, with Adder rates (for the first 10-year of the PPA), these power plants have been commercially operating since 2013.
